Review: Resurrecting Phoenix

Resurrecting Phoenix Resurrecting Phoenix by Isabel Lucero
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

3.75 crowns

This was a poignant story about a young vivacious woman who had it all. A great happy marriage, a great teaching job, cared about her appearance and home. Great group of friends... then on a very special night.. her wedding anniversary, tragedy strikes.

Her husband who is a cop is gunned down on duty and her world ends. How do you recover from that? How do you take your next breath?

Phoenix Nightingale is drowning in her sorrows... both emotionally and with a few bottles... She is no longer teaching, she is really no longer living.
Enter Evan Tyler, the new neighbor and a chance meeting. He is living his own hell and trying to cope.

Together can they heal and show each other that the future is worth living?

It was truly a raw and sweet story that dealt with a very emotional time in their lives. Great read!
